Root - Red, (Mars, garnet) earth energy enters the body

Navel – Orange (Sun, citrine) warrior center of identity

Solar Plexus – Yellow (Mercury, topaz) point of balance

Heart – Green or rose (Venus, emerald or rose quartz) point where energies meet and equalize, pivot of healing energies

Throat – Blue (Saturn, sapphire) point of force of will, expresses strength of intellect

Brow – Violet (Jupiter, amethyst) seat of higher reasoning and ethics

Crown – White (moonstone or diamond) point where pure universal spirit energy enters humans

Just a brief explanation before the meditations: The alignment of the chakras in these meditations is slightly different than the traditional "root to crown" row of seven energy points. The first three (root, navel and solar plexus) come first and are associated with the Goddess and Earth energy. Then we skip up to the last three in reverse order (crown, third eye and then throat) and are associated with the God and Universal Energy. They meet in the middle at the heart chakra, where they combine in Perfect Love and Perfect Trust. It's just a way to acknowledge the God and the Goddess as you seek to find your own alignment.

Chakra Meditation (long version)

I stand on Mother Earth, and I feel Her energy entering me. It flows into me through my root. It strengthens me. It aligns my energy with Hers, so that I can better express that portion of Deity that is within me. By striving to live to my fullest potential, I am becoming the person I should be, learning the lessons I must in this life to move on in the next. Belief brings action, and I believe that I am the Goddess and that she is within me, so my actions reflect this.

Her energy surges into my navel, my center of identity, my place of warrior strength. It gives me knowledge-without-knowing of Her maternal abilities and nurturing so that I can be caring to others. It also confirms both my own unique identity and my connection to every other unique identity, all of us part of Deity.

It continues flowing upwards, into my solar plexus, bringing balance and harmony to my spirit. I conciously seek these things, knowing that I can be happier if I let go of things that I cannot control, that my life is better when I accept things as they are, and not as I wish them to be. This is the place I go to find peace when life is hectic because this is the place that is calm and serene.

From all around me, universal spirit energy enters through my crown. It helps me focus on the good things that I am and want to be, creating a cycle of transformation and growth. I believe that this aspect is the God, sharing His attributes with me even as the Goddess gives Hers from the earth. The energy imparts His strength and intellect, and helps to give order to my thoughts.

His spirit energy flows down into my brow, clarifying my thinking, letting me make good decisions, doing no harm and doing good where I can. The energy soothes my mind and destroys those ideas that torment and trouble me. It blocks negativity and old ways of thinking, while making it easier for me to change my thought patterns into the new ones that I seek.

It then continues down into my throat, helping my resolve to be pleasant and polite, focused on the positive things in my life, choosing to be happy regardless of the externals. It gives me great freedom, since I do not judge, control, or have to be right. I flow with the currents of life instead of fighting them.

Then Her energy goes up into my heart meeting His as it pours down from my throat, coming together as they flow in me, around me and through me, so that they are at optimum and equal levels. This is where the earth and the stars meet within me. This opens the way for me to be loving and kind to everyone, to think of other’s feelings and to be mindful of them. Their combined energies let me act with love and compassion, making all that I do a ritual of worship, creating a circle of love, worship and the attainment of my best self.
